Who We Are

We at Blue House Homes believe in the beauty of contradictions. A house can be casual yet polished, fun yet refined, eclectic and functional all at the same time.

We are a wife and husband design team—the former an art teacher by trade, the latter an engineer—bringing creativity, color theory, and composition on the one hand and an analytical understanding of architectural plans, scale, and flow on the other. Our first design project was our own home, a 1920s bungalow renovation and the original “blue house.” It’s where we fell in love with the design process, conceptualizing a space and its use over time. We are all about creating fun, stylish spaces that hit the mark on functionality, and we love a design “challenge.” It is our pleasure to get to know our clients’ needs and wants and help them realize their vision through our eyes.
